The Russian Venture Company, the Skolkovo Foundation and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives have launched the technology competition of the National Technology Initiative. The project has been launched today, on November 7, under the BarCamp the "National Technological Revolution 20.35". This is reported by the Indicator.Ru correspondent.

The first direction of the competition will be associated with driverless cars. "We have chosen two directions from which we start. One direction is ..... about what Tesla cannot do. A driverless self-controlled Tesla car can do everything; it can drive across an American city and do it well. But Tesla car cannot drive across a Russian city in winter, because it is necessary to read data from the road signs. And in winter we have problems with this," Director of the" Young Professionals ", ASI, Dmitry Peskov, said.

The second direction of the technology competition will be the new sources of energy. The money prize to the winners of the competition will exceed the Nobel Prize amount, the RVC CEO Alexander Povalko said. "We have planned 600 million roubles for the three-year period both for the prize fund, and for holding the competition," he said. Prizes to the winners will amount to 200 million roubles. "This is more than the Nobel Prize, at least in monetary terms," the RVC CEO stressed.

"It is assumed that the beginning of the work and recording of the applications will be held at the beginning of the year, and the final tests will be carried out at the end of 2018. At the end of 2018, some vehicle should drive, and fuel cells will be inserted into a certain aircraft, and it will fly somewhere," Povalko said.
